Dr. Samuel Armacanqui has more than 25 years of corporate experience, working globally with major E & P companies and NOCs such as Shell, Conoco, PDVSA, Schlumberger, and Dea Oil and Gas.

While working with above companies in Heavy and Extra Heavy Oil Projects such as the First Extra Heavy Oil Project of the Orinoco Field in the San Diego Field in Venezuela - 120,000 bopd, he was the Production Specialist in charge. Other assignments include Thermal EOR Projects in the Sultanate of Oman in both sand and carbonate reservoirs with active aquifer, among others.

He has a PhD in Reservoir Engineering and a Pos-doctorate degree in Projects and Business Management from the Clausthal University and is a recognized Lecturer in topics of Production Optimization, Sustainable Oil Field Development, Effective introduction of innovations in oil and gas fields, Artificial Lift, Operational Excellence, Advanced Tendering Techniques, Process and Oil Field Management in the Scenario of Low Oil Prices and Business Management. He has initiated and participated in the development and field implementation of multiple Innovations. He has also authored and co-authored technical publications and has given Professional Educational Training at advanced level to Senior Staff and to Company Executives.
