WFC is in real trouble here. One of the reasons WFC was trading at a premium to its peers was because of its formerly stellar reputation--relatively unsullied from the 2008 banking debacle.

Stumpf was reputed to be a shrewd and cautious CEO.


This change in perception will have an effect on its valuation going forward...right as the entire banking industry starts to have some problems with interest rate hikes and an overvalued stock market in general.

And then there is the upcoming tax loss selling season.
