A little unpublished info about the Volkswagen emissions scandal, at least I could not find any.
A nephew of mine owns a body shop/ mechanics shop, changed my oil today. He told me today that to make more money, Volkswagen has raised the price of it's parts sky high on Audi's and Volkswagen's. What this means to a body man is that their cars get totaled out easier because of the high replacement costs of the parts. My nephew said insurance does not seem to mind, they pay same as on any any other care brand. My nephew thinks it is "brilliant", since it increases sales since many buy the same car brand they just totaled. Me, I call it "corruption" and it may lead to higher insurance for non Volkswagen owners? At any rate, Volkswagen/Audi may not lose as much sales as I first might have thought. What a wonderful world we live in?
