"We're scratching to stay alive"

"We're scratching to stay alive. We've gotten a few commercial and agricultural projects going and that's kept us alive because those rates weren't affected. But our residential market went from close to 20-25 installs a month to zero," said Casey Coffman, Director of Sunworks. "We know that a lot of contractors left the state. We stuck around, and we want to stick around and service those people as well."

With this latest approval, the rate change works for solar customers but doesn't open a door for new customers.

"This have only provided a small bubble for a small group. While it's a very important thing, especially since those things people have already invested money, we still want to have solar industry in Nevada," said Travis Miller, Project Manager of Sunworks.

The Nevada commercial business was described as "robust" by Nelson on the last conference call.
