Did Peter lie about filing taxes in Cali? Their filing would have been processed in a week or two....it has been months.

Apparently that wasn't enough to get the removal/suspension/forfeiture of Hop-On's business license lifted. Maybe they found out, from certain concerned citizens, that Hop-On already was suspended, and created a new entity to get around paying fees and filing previous-years taxes?

Cali says Hop-On is still FTB Forfeited, which means Hop-On cannot conduct business from their Cali headquarters, enter into contracts, or defend against lawsuits.
