Govt will explicitly declare that they do not backstop Fannie and Freddie new business anymore
All new MBS business will go from the banks to FHA
Fannie and Freddie will run off over 30 years
Shares will be worthless. Fannie bonds and MBS will pay off as guaranteed. Easy does it.
