I sometimes wonder about that too, Monroe. Maybe they don't have enough cellulosic agriculture and/or waste materials to utilize for ethanol production?
Some talk about using algae, but I am not aware if sufficient amounts of algae can be grown and collected to make enough ethanol to make it economical?

In the case of BFRE's proposed Fulton plant, they plan to use wood wastes from the timber industry, and I think there is plenty available for them to use. That should be a whole lot cheaper than the corn being used by most other cellulosic ethanol producers.
