Dale C -- thing is, can't determine which is "the party that best represents your values" without paying attention to/in re the candidates and their (sensible or not) positions on things so as to actually know anything about them, in turn to then even be able to actually know anything about their parties and what they actually represent

there is no refuge in any dissociated projection of generalized abstraction, no matter how grandly pondered or lyrical or internally consistent/self-reinforcing -- or perhaps better put, any such refuge is an illusion

reality is all the endless and ever-changing particulars, all the endless and ever-changing particulars are reality -- to actually get a grip, gotta get in there and actually get a grip -- generalized abstraction alone, just throwing generalized abstraction at reality from a distance, inherently, ontologically, cannot be sufficient, at least for any genuine understanding
