The VR Concert Bundle Marks the Start of a New Era in Music Merchandizing
MIAMI BEACH, Florida, December 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Next Galaxy Corp., a leading developer of innovative content solutions and immersive consumer virtual reality technology, today announced that it has signed an agreement with Universal Music Enterprises to produce and distribute a fully immersive Virtual Reality version of Megadeth's new album, Dystopia, on its CEEK platform.
Iconic thrash rock band Megadeth will give their fans the ultimate cutting edge experience. The Virtual Reality experience, executive produced by Next Galaxy Founder and President Mary Spio will feature a special VR experience of five songs from Dystopia, "Fatal Illusion," "Dystopia," The Threat Is Real," "Poisonous Shadows," and "Post American World." The band's performance will appear within the fallen city of a dystopian world modeled after the world created in Megadeth's new music video for "The Threat Is Real." The 360 experience will be composited into a CG environment to create a dystopian universe surrounding the band, and allow fans to virtually enter, engage and explore this parallel world.
Next Galaxy brought in director Blair Underwood to help direct the 360 experience. As a director, DGA member Underwood directed the 2009 independent feature "The Bridge to Nowhere," as well as several music videos, short films and commercials. Blair has also appeared on ABC's hit series, "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
