Is that what the investor who purchased Momenta 10 years ago thought only to lose 22% over that time period? How about the investor who bought 5 years ago (-24%) or 1 year ago (-34%)?
While I wish the best for Momenta, I don't know how many times someone has to get hit in the head with a 2x4 to finally figure out that this company is in business to reward it's executives at the cost of the shareholders.
My Bio portfolio started this year with ARIA (+66%), ARQL (-30%), EXEL (+114%), TBPH (+81%), BIIB (+2%) and recently added PTHN (+10%).
In each and every company listed I find that the management puts the shareholders first. The only company that doesn't belong in business would be ARQL because they have very little promise.
Over time I'm sure you can profit from Momenta, but simply I'd have to ask why bother. I did buy some Momenta in March only to sell last month for a nice gain. I have tried to own Momenta as a long term hold and haven't fared very well.
