If California approves recreational marijuana, there will be such a national shift in opinion, it will be momentous.

The reason it will be such a huge deal is that the uninformed public (it's just true), who base their position on Reefer Madness and the opinions of their parents/grandparents, will see in large mass the reality that all natural marijuana does is make you a little buzzed and a little hungry. Alcohol, when abused (which it often is), makes you stumble and, in many cases in men, angry/want to show off.

Marijuana, when abused to the same level, makes you laugh at stupid jokes. No fist fights. No deadly car accidents. Just laziness and hunger. And want dreadlocks. Not really. But if you were high, that'd probably make you laugh.
