The Failure to Find a Suitable Candidate
sounds like a euphemism for unable to produce an effective ligand. It is and has been my contention that producing a ligand that will mimic the protein receptors on a living cell sufficiently well to fool a virus into attaching to it large enough numbers for the nanoviricde to be effective IS THE PRINCIPLE TECHNICAL HURDLE. The amount of time that has been taken thus far on Herpecide without a "suitable candidate" supports the contention it is a complex 3-D molecular modeling problem for which NNVC has no solution other than a brute-force search for a needle in a haystack.
