McAfee's past is what it is. Fortunately for investors, despite many failed ideas, and a few good ones, there are no stories of McAfee ripping people off.

Do a search on Howard Leventhal. I had the unfortunate luck to run across him in a random meeting. This was well before he was trying to hock his home McCoy health kit. At that time he was ripping people off with a fake product you were supposed to attach to the roof of your car to get satellite Internet. At one time, he had invented a type of joystick that was popular. It made them a few bucks. But after that, there was a long chorus line of failed business, penny stock listings, name changes, and ...people he had ripped off along the way... a long line of people he had ripped off along the way. Story, after story, after story. Lawsuit, after lawsuit, after lawsuit.
McAfee is not without baggage.
There are definitely yellow flags, but I haven't seen any red ones yet.
