fpg: my eggs are fine :)

And that was a decision based on several factors. 1. I don't see a lot of growth ahead and my investing needs right now are for income. I am transitioning into 5% plus dividend stocks. 2. I do not believe Intel will be shrinking significantly anytime soon but again growth is dicey. AMD has not proven to be a significant competitor in a decade. It will likely not be one now but dream all you want. Part of the reason I did liquidate my Intel position was Intel itself. They chose to make my UBS account into a $75 a year thing. I understand them cheaping out after almost a decade but I felt that keeping it was pointless. So I closed out my final position and am reinvesting those funds into higher yield positions. If I see a significant draw back I may jump back in but I had no confidence that Intel would increase the dividend much and I wanted more income. But that does not mean I believe AMD is going to be successful. Based on their bullshit benchmarketing I would actually expect the stock to deflate in a timely manner after the truth outs. So personally I wouldn't get within 10 miles of a loser like AMD.
