$1000 invested 4 months ago is worth $1000 today (minus the trading fee), but only if one is lucky enough to sell on one of the rare days when someone else wants to pay .0001.
At least in a bank that $1000 could be earning interest and the money can be withdrawn immediately if needed.
Buying more of a worthless and useless item isn't consolidation, it's hoarding!
