You're not looking at this from a income standpoint. goog is most likely threatening to pull it's advertising programs from anyone not playing by it's kingdom's rules. goog could lose 30 percent of the internet sources from this and it wouldn't faze them probably, but the sources who depend on goog revenue could be impacted greatly.
Ihub, historically, by defending themselves legally(advfn/ihub) in the realm of free speech has also defended it's members under it's umbrella.

At least half the admin has already publicly denounced goog's wisdom on this. So, I don't think the company is very pleased with this as well. ''

EDIT: But I agree with Janice and others, this is most likely about advertising and something that google is dealing with at their end.
