The G20 meet in China on September 4-5. That might be the end of the U.S. dollar as the world's reserve currency. Personally, I think the Fed anticipates this happening and will be raising rates to prop up the U.S. dollar.
If the U.S. dollar drops too much, it would be a nightmare for Europe, because our exports would become cheaper for foreign buyers.
The best case scenario would be that the U.S. dollar would begin a slow decline.
For the first time in years, I am very interested in seeing what the Federal Reserve does next month. Personally, I think the Fed should be abolished, but that ain't gonna happen.
