If someone makes $30,000 they should have a savings account of $15,000 before they even look at stocks.

Aiming just an s+p 500 fund to start is not a bad idea.

LD Aim would help.
Pretend account $20,000, $5,000 stock and $5,000 to $10,000 cash.
