Yes, we are all waiting to see if this rumor comes true. Some hope that the Eontec deal had something to do with production of the chassis for the iPhone 7.

According to the perpetual deal Apple made with LiquidMetal some time back, they have access to the patents royalty free in the Consumer Electronics marketplace. However, a production contract could generate revenue if manufactured through LiquidMetal. I have no rationale for why they would do that, but some hope that it is possible through some convoluted relationship.

If Apple uses LQMT in a highly visible product like the iPhone, it will probably spur production contracts for non-CE that could generate big revenue.
