They price according to what the market will bear. And Government controlled health systems overseas refuse to pay what we pay. Not fair--and a precursor to what will happen with total government takeover of health care here.

Companies will not try to develop long short drugs and/or medical devices if they did not have a way to recoup their investments.

The companies could just refuse to sell overseas at those low prices--then they would be criticized for being greedy (and not just trying to be fair to the American Consumer) and condemning innocents that could have benefited from the drugs etc.
