Legalization won't really help CVSI other than a short-term pop after elections. It might be worth buying in early October as a play on that pop. In fact, as I think we've seen in the past, legalization removes one of CVSI's advantages, that it's CBD from hemp is legal in states where CBD from marijuana is not.

Right now, CVSI's price is dropping for both the fundamental reasons of a not-great 2Q, but also the fact that there is a lot of competition in the CBD space, and the price of CBD is falling due to increased supply from both suppliers of plant-based CBD, as well as synthetic.

There was an article published today at Seeking Alpha about the declining price of CBD. ScottMarket (the author,) doesn't mention all the players in the space, but does talk about the price trend. In his disclaimer, he says he's long CVSI. You'll see in the comments that I think he's making a mistake (under my Rolling O ID). You might find his article interesting:
