the sal of today has nothing to do with what it was 10-15 years ago. they were a mass merchandise low selection high value seller toward the people who needed them most. the wic-ebt-retiree. when te svu people bought out Albertsons they integrated them into svu and tried to upscale svu. there was already enough of that kind of market tobe had and svu was lost and unremarkable. sometime soon someone will remember that they were successful and reinvent that market. think a high turnover lower profit model is much better than one who drives prices up and people away. I am lower middle income too and appreciate anyone who actually DEPENDS on the customer for their living without just lip service.
