Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and his deputy Barnaby Joyce will today seek an explanation from
the board of dairy giant Murray Goulburn as a crisis continues to unfold across the industry.

Key points:

* Murray Goulburn executives summoned to Canberra by PM
* Barnaby Joyce signals the Government could provide more help to farmers
* Meeting was first promised during election campaign

The Government is also considering a Senate inquiry into Murray Goulburn's decision to cut the price it pays
farmers for milk, forcing some farmers to sell their prized cows for slaughter and walk off their properties.
