Carlos Gutierrez, a former CEO of the Kellogg Company who served as Commerce Secretary for four years under President George W. Bush, told CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday that he will vote for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Though Gutierrez emphasized that he is a Republican, that he “would have preferred Jeb Bush” and that he “love[s] the tax cuts” in Trump’s plan, the former Bush administration official said that he is “afraid of what Donald Trump would do to this country.”

Clinton, by contrast, is a “great choice,” according to Gutierrez.

Gutierrez also warned that Trump’s candidacy could inspire other racists to seek power. “I heard the other day, as you know, that David Duke is running for Congress in Louisiana . . . under Trump’s platform.” the former Commerce Secretary told Tapper.

Duke, a former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, is running for the U.S. Senate as a Republican.

“Is that a trend?” Gutierrez wondered. “Are we going to see more of that? Is that the kind of society we’re going to be?”
