One should do this with precision, but most do not. Hence the 90% who lose in day trading. Also, holding a short position over the weekend,????. Take a look at OIL once again. Monday is a "toss up" given all markets. The late strength in BAC is a good indication of what may be Monday. Suggest a close trailing stop on a buy or sell, and a good cover on a short position.Also, most brokers offer a .03 per share to a shareholder to ALLOW that account to LOAN their shares to another to short.HFT exchanges also offer .03. Now , do the math. That means a broker must make at least that to break even doing a short sale with a account.Most will not do this. Means they make something on the spread with the HFT exchanges. Both do in fact.
Point is ,..stay very close to your trades!
