Yes you can, but I really think it depends on your broker and if they allow you to choose lots. I use Etrade and do that all the time. I will take a starter position and then add and once it starts bouncing I sell the lower priced ones first until a full bounce is in play. Most brokers set their defaults at FIFO - first in, first out. So if you don't instruct them which lot to take they will fill the oldest position first. Not sure what broker you use but I do know of someone who's broker does not allow lot selecting. I would not do business with that broker.
