5-Mass Shootings Obama Will NEVER Talk About

July 12, 2016

He couldn’t even wait until the bodies were cold.

President Barack Obama will speak today in Dallas on the tragic murder of five police officers last week — and if history is any indication of what he’ll say, he will also use the opportunity to push his radical gun control agenda.

After the Orlando shootings, his fellow Democrats shut down the House of Representatives for days, singing, chanting, and demanding that law-abiding citizens surrender their gun rights.

But what about the times when guns in the hands of trained, responsible gun owners stopped mass shootings? What about when the American people used their constitutional rights to prevent tragedies like the ones we’ve seen play out on our TV screens?

Here are five times when armed citizens STOPPED mass shootings – something Obama won’t dare mention

1. Nightclub shooting at the Playoffz ( Spartanburg , SC , 2016)

Just two weeks ago – Sunday, June 26 – an armed citizen stopped a shooting from becoming a possible massacre at a South Carolina nightclub. A 32-year-old man named Jody Ray Thompson became agitated and fired into a crowd of people outside a club called Playoffz in Spartanburg , South Carolina .

What he didn’t count on was the fact that the fourth person he shot had a concealed carry permit and was carrying a weapon. That man, “in self-defense, pulled his own weapon and fired, striking Thompson in the leg,” and nipping his shooting spree in the bud, according to Spartanburg Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Kevin Bobo

2. Walmart Parking Lot Shooting Prevented ( Augusta , Maine , 2016)

Two concealed carry holders stopped another shooting in a Walmart parking lot on the very same day: June 26, 2016. That afternoon, two cars pulled side-by-side outside the megastore in Augusta , Maine , got into a fight and began shooting. One of the men was lightly injured – but that wasn’t enough for the suspects in the first car, who came walking over to finish the job. Just then, two men with concealed carry permits drew their guns and told all four people involved in the shootout to cease and desist. Meanwhile, police officers from six departments showed up, arresting three suspects from New York state and one local.

“The outcome in this incident was the preferred outcome,” said Lt. Chris Massey of the Augusta PD.

3. Stopping a church shooting ( Boiling Springs , SC , 2012)

On March 25, 2012, Jesse Gates busted through the locked door of South Side Free Will Baptist Church in Boiling Springs , South Carolina , holding a shotgun. Pastor Henry Guyton went to meet him with his grandson, Aaron Guyton, who had a concealed carry license and his gun on him.

The 26-year-old grandson pulled his gun on the 38-year-old Gates, who froze long enough for two parishioners to jump on him and hold him down. The younger Guyton kept him covered with his weapon until police arrived and took Gates away.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff, Chuck Wright, said, “I like the fact that a concealed weapons permit holder was prepared to protect the worshipers.”

4. The doctor who saved his patients with a gun ( Darby , Pennsylvania , 2014)

Doctors save lives many ways. On June 25, 2014, Dr. Lee Silverman saved an unknown number of lives by shooting a psychiatric patient who planned to kill multiple people. Richard Plotts’ case worker tried to get him help by taking him to Mercy-Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby , Pennsylvania . Plotts, who had a history of violent interactions with staff, pulled a gun and killed the case worker, then shot Dr. Silverman.

But the doctor pulled out his own gun, which he had a legal permit to carry, shooting Plotts and ending his rampage. “Without that firearm, this guy could have went out in the hallway and just walked down the offices until he ran out of ammunition,” said Police Chief of Yeadon , Pennsylvania . “So, without a doubt, I believe the doctor saved lives.”

5. Preventing a shooting at a junior high school (Miami, Florida, 1982)

Some shootings are so clearly an act of self-defense – of community-defense – that even hardened gun-grabbers will not prosecute them. Take the case of Carl R. Brown, who entered a Miami welding shop with a shotgun and opened fire. Brown, a 51-year-old with psychiatric issues, had a dispute with the shop owner over being charged $20 for a repair. On August 20, 1982, Brown killed eight people and injured three more before getting on his bicycle. Police say he was headed to a junior high school where he used to teach to continue the killing. But Martin Kram, who ran a recycling shop not far from the shooting, took his two guns, got into his car, and chased down the would-be shooter. Ultimately, he killed Brown.

The State Attorney at the time, Janet Reno, ruled his actions a “justifiable use of force.”

Despite potentially saving untold numbers of kids, Kram kept the secret from his own children until 2003.

Years later, he said, “If what I did was wrong, I figured I would have been punished. But I’ve had a good life.”

After hearing about his heroic actions for the first time, Kram’s 17-year-old daughter responded by saying, “You did the right thing, Dad. It sounds just like you. You don’t like to see people hurt.”

Incidents like these show that the Founding Fathers had a better understanding of the Second Amendment than Obama and his cronies. It’s a scientific fact: Criminals are less likely to shoot back if they’re dead.

Obama may want to rip the guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens. If he succeeds, he may be making it that much easier for mass-murderers to shed innocent blood.
