Could little kids be affected by GMO's sooner than adults?

Comparable story in Florida?

This ties into my concerns about GM foods.Drinking too much alcohol usually does not cause major health problems until the user turns maybe 50, after 30 years of use. But little kids are eating GMO's at birth and their little bodies are affected sooner? Yet, no major long tern studies on GMO's. Yes, this Florida story may not be tied to GMO's, but the affects on youth shows.
