They have no accountability for the tax $$$$$$ spent in the CESS POOL.
People living all over the streets of Seattle in door ways under bridges. Heroin addicts ripping people off destroying lives. People needing this and that but hey PAINT the streets!

They say the community chose the theme?
Translation ....... you went to the idiots who make 200K a year in Seattle who don't give a rip about money cause they got plenty of it and asked them.
No SANE person would say sure spend tax money on game painting a street.

SEATTLE - One small Seattle street is getting a retro video game makeover.

The Seattle Department of Transportation plans to close off Summit Avenue on Capitol Hill between Denny Way and Olive Way and turn it into a public space.

The community chose a ‘Pacman’ theme for the upcoming space, which is set to open sometime before mid-September.

The ‘public park’ is part of the city’s “Pavement to Parks” program. The city started turning underused roadway space into temporary solutions, according to SDOT’s website.

Susan McLaughlin of SDOT said as population density continues to grow, there’s a growing need for public places to create a sense of community.

McLaughlin said the average budget for each of the projects is $70,000.

The three Pavement to Parks projects already completed are:

University St, E Union St, and Boylston Ave in First Hill
9th Ave between University St and Seneca St in First Hill
Phinney Ave N and N 67th St in Phinney Ridge
The ‘Pacman Park’ is one of three projects SDOT is working to complete. One is in South Seattle and the other will be in Belltown.
