Fannie Mae (FNMA)

This is NOT the Summer doldrums phenomenon. I just checked the Fannie Mae volume during July last year and it was quite robust. One poster on YMB suggested that the flat S/P came from less retail trading activity with low price volatility and the larger insty-type investors being entrenched in either a long or shot position that they were prepared to see through some outcome in the courts.

I thought this analysis made sense.

The volume on FMCC and most preferred series have been just as low as Fannie's.
