Boy, if you really drill down into these statements, you can really see the level of deceitful language cleverly crafted into them.

Although we cannot make claims of certainty yet, after we get good results from these studies we will be able to say that we have developed a true virus killer.

The qualifier in the above statement, "after we get good results," completely relieves any burden of proof on the remainder of the statement. It sounds like getting good results is almost a certainty, but if good results aren't obtained, oh, well, joke's on you, the investing public.
