I know that my grandma Polly didnt come up with this saying...but i heard her say it a good many times. "The older you get, the faster time goes"! Well, at 60 years i see that to be more and more true. Each of us, no matter our age, when God placed us here on planet earth, we each had just so many years and days to live this life. And, as we know there are people of all ages that die each and every day from sickness, accidents, so many different ways a persons life can end. We all like to think that we are going to live to a very old age...with good health...and then one night die peacefully in our sleep. But...thats not usually the case. There are no guarantees from the life of a child to the elderly cause we usually dont know when that last breath is coming...we just dont know how much time we have here on earth and when we are going to slip into eternity. So we live each day and for the most part we do so without much thought or worry about death...we know it coming so why worry about it. However...what we must do is live each day as though it was our last...because...it very well could be! The most important decision on our part...is our salvation and our relationship with Jesus. Are we born-again and headed to heaven...or...are we unsaved and headed to hell? After that, Spend each day loving those we love and letting them know it every minute as though it was our last...it could be. Focus on relationships in place of the brass ring. Remember to always be selfless and never selfish. Live knowing its better to give than receive...and do unto others as you would want them to do unto you. Let the light of Jesus shine from us every minute of everyday. Remember..."The older you get, the faster time goes"! Even if we do make it to be 100 years old...its not a drop in the bucket compared to Eternity...How are we living our life...in such a way that when we are gone those left behind will say...Thats the kind of person i want to be! And most importantly are we living for Jesus so we will hear God say...Well done my good and faithful servant!
