geocappy, me too at first.

I agree! What worries me is why is it taking so long to get a trial started with AZN

But I think we might all, well at least me, have made a reasoning error or jumped to fast in conclusions. The trials were started but after SUNRISE scheduled for REDESIGN (and those involving chemo cancelled).

But we are going from some solid cancers to all solid cancers. So, AND THIS IS 100% SPECULATION!!!, I think we are going to see a multiple arm trial with a lot of sub-groups defined. And to get Chemo out as the SOC (or competing I-O that became SOC) AstraZeneca will want a Durvalumab vs Durvalumab+Bavituximab arm.

And that may need some convincing at the FDA or at least some extra Durvalumab approvals. Durvalumab will get approved without becoming the SOC because it weights against the old chemo combinations but will not beat them with sufficient difference compared to other I-O's that approved first and levelled the SOC up. All anti-XYZ will perform in comparable ranges IMO.

That is why I think these AstraZeneca trials didn't start yet.

Peregrine Pharmaceuticals the Microsoft of Biotechnology! All In My Opinion. I am not advising anything, nor accusing anyone.
