It is interesting, the question of why AMD's GPUs suck more power than Nv. Some may be attributable to process for sure.

AMD does have some extra's in their GPU designs. Async compute and the DX12 stuff, also, there is no SLI on the GTX 1060. Not sure how these things, especially the later affect power ..

Edit: Leaving off SLI probably helped with the die size and cost. Maybe a good move, or not. twt
