IMO the naked and/or unreported short I postulate already has its profit -- on paper at least -- and is looking to cover. And its margin is optimal now, since chances of the company folding are greatly reduced. So the bid's going up to entice longs to throw up shares, but thus far it's not been too successful. I believe the short was originally banking on a higher buy-in price anyway, but recent higher bids but with no resultant liquidity must be troubling. And now Cura MyCadian is starting to breathe down its neck. FWIW, just my educated guess.
