I was listening to a health podcast in which a vitamin designer mentioned that he was creating a CBD supplement and was surprised to find GWPH owned all the patents and that he would have to pay them.

This seems contradictory to what I have heard elsewhere, which is that CBD, like caffeine, is a naturally occurring compound and therefore very difficult to patent.

CBD supplements are becoming common; does anyone know if GWPH does hold patents that will produce revenue as these supplements take off?
