Actually, EXXON and FuelCell have been working together for about 5 years on this. This video is a presentation by EXXON and FuelCell explains the whole process and states their progress and goals.

In summary, EXXON plans to use the fuel cells to scrub emissions from natural gas power plants. They want to process the CO2 to 95% concentration and also capture the Hydrogen which is also a byproduct. They also suggest that EXXON may not be planning to pump the CO2 underground but is looking into other options through further sequestration so may be planning to market both the CO2 and the Syngas or even separate the different components in the syngas and market them. The market for the Hydrogen is already big and growing rapidly.
