Way to go NRA, for keeping assault type semi-autos with high capacity drum magazines readily available. Every one of the victims was carrying, for all the good it did them, and still they didn't stop him until there were over 400 officers and a robo-bomb. He held them off for hours with hails of bullets from what was identified by an eyewitness as an AR-15 type weapon with a very large magazine.
If he was using a 7 round clip he would have been taken out early, as some of the brave souls rushed him, to their death, but he just kept shooting and shooting, not having to reload so thus was not left vulnerable.
I guess he was just exercising his 2nd amendment rights to own such a massively lethal weapon.
The press seems unable to grasp that he was a army reservist who had done a stint in Afghanistan so was well trained, and was a lone wolf pissed off over the senseless killings of innocent blacks, and was fighting back the only way his deranged state of mind knew, with a weapon he had trained with. (except he had fully auto with military weapons)
It is the first time I have heard of sending in a robo-bomb to blow up a cornered killer, probably preventing further bloodshed. I am not even ready to think about the racial implications and blow-back yet.
