The next time I see a scifi film about aliens taking over the world, I'm routing for the aliens.
Humans simply do not deserve what they have.
I did some groceries this morning, then stopped across the street of a bank to get some cash from the machine.
I come out, looking both ways to cross the street, and on my left I see something weird.
So I cross the street and get in my car and take another look at the weirdness, I am headed in that direction.
At first I can't really make out what the fuck is going on. I see lots and lots of cars and RVs headed in the opposite direction, but they are all avoiding something at the side of the road.
So I start up the car and start heading that way and what do I see... An old man that fell off the sidewalk covered in blood.
So I ran the car up on the sidewalk and went to help the guy.
About 15 seconds later another woman stopped to help. we pulled the guy off the road and into the shade of a tree. then I called the french equivalent of 911 to explain the situation and send out an ambulance.
It might have been my accent, or maybe the woman on the end of the line was just a bitch, but she started asking me a hell of a lot of questions.
I said, look, you can keep asking me questions, or you can send an ambulance before the guy bleeds to death.
Then I hung up.
Actually there was little risk of him bleeding to death, but he may have had a concussion and should be checked out.
paramedics arrived, started taking care of the guy.
They thanked me, the woman thanked me and I left PISSED.
At least 20 cars, that I saw, passed a guy in distress
