Re: 2nd Quarter, 2016 - A tough quarter and year to date so far.......

V.I.E.W. Results
Portfolio Q2 YTD
Dow 30 Index +0.77% +2.897%
S&P500 Index +1.90% +2.687%
Nasdaq Composite Index -0.59% -3.290%
Europe/Far East Index -2.34% -4.94%
-----------------------------------------------
Ultimate Buy and AIM portf. +2.28% +5.31%
Domestic Sector ETF portf. +1.49% +3.18%
Intl Style ETF portf. -0.30% +1.20%
10 Common Stocks portf. +0.18% +3.69%
High Income ETF portf. +2.85% +6.37%

While my international portfolio of style ETFs didn't do much, it compares the best to the EFA type index for both time frames. The Ultimate Buy and AIM portfolio has both income and equity type ETFs in it and has significant ex-US exposure. It did quite well overall. Domestic ETF portfolio is better at the YTD and about average for the quarter. Overall I'm pleased to be doing better than the indexes on most fronts.

The income portfolio has benefited from a rebound in the REIT component (VNQ) and some improvement in high yield (JNK) with the rest also having a decent year. It's rare that the income portfolio has been a stronger performer than the equity strategies. I'll take it when I can get it!

Happy Independence Day Weekend!
