Plus it has to be used basically for the company such as buying out another company or merchandise etc. Usually people/or owners with a lot of stock will not want to issue a lot of authorized shares because they need to maintain a large percentage of those shares because ownership and not being taken over. Authorized shares are usually used to grow the biz or for taking over a company.....the reason to take over a company by authorizing shares is because you usually see a high value property or a company that is making good revenues already.
