every pitcher has had TJ surgery or so it seems. that doesn't make them anymore or any less injury prone. And the pitching has actually made their starts for the most part so far, that hasn't really been the problem so far. Knock on wood. LOL.

The funny thing about colon is he has has made every start in all the years he has been here. Duda is a 1b, name me a 1b that isn't big and lumbering it is not a position that you find slender speed guys at. he is in my opinion the most unluckiest he is 29 year old, he shouldn't be breaking down, he is not exactly fat if you catch my drift.

Lageres is trying to come back with a thumb injury. Walker was out for a week this month with various injures, and since he come back he hasn't hit. Walker is not exactly a old man either. Conforto had a wrist thing went into a tailspin, and they had to sent him down, how much was the wrist, and how was the head, or maybe the wrist put him in bad habit hard to tell, or the league just fgured him out, although he was doing everything the oppositie of what he was known for of having great plate discipline and constantly going fishing for pitches out of the strike zone at the end. Heck cespedes was down for a week, flores went to the dl for about 3 weeks, and d'arnuad was on the dl for well over a month as well in my opinion. more importantly it seems like someone is unavailabe and considering they only have a 4 man bench right now, and the backup catcher you never use, they have been playing with a short-bench a lot of times this year, in the NL that is another problem. Which by the way they should expand ML roster to 27, so they can make up for a guy who is unavailable for a couple of days and doesn't hamper the flexibility of the team.

I could keep going. I could also tell you there is a compnent that has caused a lack of runs, it is the fact that they are allergic to runner is scoring position, they are by far the worst in the league in this category if they were just average in this stat it would probably add another .5 run per game at least maybe 1 run a game, which would win them many more games with their pitching. Despite the pitching feeling like it was not as good as expected the mets have gave up very few runs that really isn't the problem and they have made the starts, the positions players have fallen apart. all is just my opinion.

---All above is just my humble opinion.
And I could always be wrong.
And as always do your own DD.---
