Having asthma myself, I use a twice daily inhaler. It has done wonders for my breathing. Are you using something similar? If not, it might be wise to request this from your doctor. Or switch to a different one if you are using something.
It's a preventative medicine though. So first, you'd need something to get this under control if possible.
