We've been hearing tales of 500g, 1000g, 2000g for half a decade that always turned out to be bullshit.

First I recall hearing of '500 g' being something they would achieve and with anything resembling a concrete timeline at the Shelton plant was when I was visiting there in May 2015. And then, they were stating that they figured that they wouldn't have confidence that they would have the 500 g size 'done' until at least December 2015.

More of an attempt at fiction being made with the comment of:

Fact: Dead stock walking as warned by me.

This 'Fact' remains speculation,.... nothing more,.... nothing less and repeatedly stating something that isn't a fact is,.... well,... a fact,....
