My firm provided accounting services to a Microsoft sub-contractor back in the 1990s. That client also presented and was represented at E3, of which for accounting reasons, I attended to validate product marketing and certain relationships. That client was audited by BDO, and never did MSFT ask our firm for financial statements. Further, that client was continuously operating at a loss on an on-going basis, and failed to operate as a going concern.

That client eventually shut down as the contract with MSFT could not operate profitably.
