I don't believe it was his fault. He bought the company from people who had difficulty telling the truth. Once he got into it he realized what he really bought and it took more time to clean up than expected based on the representations made.

Could he have done things differently? Sure, but what? We were not directly involved so we have no way to judge what could have been done differently.
