No is talking about it because it's a STUPID idea. IT WILL NOT WORK.

Levine took a concept like 'Dollarshaveclub' and assumed that it could work with LEDs simply because he thinks people are pissed at the longevity in a falling price marketplace when in fact no one cares.

AND HE PROVIDED NO INFO OR ECONOMICS TO BACK UP HIS BELIEFS. So it is impossible to evaluate or even talk about it intelligently.

Ideas that work in one market doe not always work elsewhere. We tried to duplicate the APPLE iPhone upgrade idea. I was going to offer a king-size mattress at $29.95 to $39.95 per month for 3 years and at the end of three years you would automatically get a brand new mattress and continue to pay. So you always had a great mattress for less than your cell phone or cable bill for something that effects one-third of your life and how you feel and operate during the other two-thirds.

We scrapped the idea because we felt the automatic upgrade idea did not translate to mattresses.

This LED idea is plain STUPID. That's why it has generated no conversations.
