The biotech I follow the most does hedge. The result is they lose 20%(?) less due to the FX issue (generated losses) than if they didn't. But it's still a strong headwind, and management acknowledges it. The EUR/USD has been hanging around 1.12-1.14 for quite some time. Now 1.11, and still headed down. The headwind just got a little stronger.
Also unclear is what the Brexit will do to the cooperation between the UK's NICE, and EU drug regulation. Probably not going to be enhanced while waiting on article 50 to kick in.
