fish: It took less planning, IMO.

MR is a flat out copy of TopGolf, just substitute guns for golf clubs. The business model was already there, the planning/execution mistakes had been made and learned from. It really just took money. Remains to be seen if guns can do as well as golf clubs given the social anti-gun climate at the moment.
