I've noticed that companies who file Form 15 manage to stay active longer than companies that don't. Without Form 15, the SEC can suspend them for not meeting reporting requirements. Sometimes investors see 'going dark' as a sign that great things are going on behind the scenes that the company wants to keep a secret. In the vast majority of cases, the opposite is true. The company has nothing good to report and doesn't have the money required to stay current with its filings.
